Top Rated Local Hospital


Garden Grove Hospital Medical Center was named among the 100 top hospitals in the nation by Truven Health Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters), based on quality of care and patient satisfaction. Truven Health Analytics is a leading provider of information and solutions to improve the cost and quality of healthcare.

This is the second year in a row that Garden Grove Hospital has been recognized as a top 100 hospital.

“This recognition reflects the outstanding hard work, dedication and excellent patient care that our hospital provides,” said Hassan Alkhouli, M.D., chief medical officer at Garden Grove Hospital. “We are proud to be acknowledged as a leader in health care with this prestigious award.”

Play Ball


Although Opening Day for pro baseball players isn’t until April 1, local Little Leaguers have already started their seasons. It almost didn’t happen for the West Garden Grove Little League. The team has played at Bell Intermediate School for years, but the school is now undergoing a $500 million construction project, so guess what? No baseball. Too risky. Weeks went by the league officials hadn’t found any fields for the kids. Then Garden Grove’s neighbor, Westminster, stepped in. Officials from Westminster Little League offered to share two of their fields with West Garden Grove Little League. And that’s exactly what happened on March 16. Play ball!
