Carving out my second career as a football analyst…

I was right.

And I was wrong.

Last week, I predicted — rightly — that perennial powerhouse Garden Grove High would beat Rancho Alamitos High in the CIF finals on Saturday, Dec. 6 at Orange Coast College.

I wrongly forecasted the score as 31-17.

I knew the Argos’ defense was good, but THAT good? Rancho had been averaging 42 points a game. Vaqueros quarterback Nick Brown set an Orange County record this season with 52 touchdown passes.

Anyway, I’ll keep working on my second career as a football analyst.
