Our Page 2 columnist, Tony Cheong (“Tony on the Town”) is taking this week off.
But she told me she received an email regarding last week’s column (“On difficult days, The Grinch gives me hope,” Dec. 17). Tony stated that she was a fan of the Grinch because he represented what Christmas is all about: redemption. She ended the column with this: “Whenever I start to feel jaded, I think of the Grinch.”
But a 10-year-old gal from Garden Grove wasn’t having it. She wrote to Tony, saying that we should never celebrate the Grinch because he was mean to his dog.
Tony will probably tell the full story, and her reaction, in next week’s column, so stay tuned.
